We could easily transcend time
and forget all our past
but then,
there are dates
calenders
repeating all the same
throughout the year
and yet
expecting us to plan
a new future
How cruel!
It's like that pop song
saying the same thing
again and again
expecting us
to get our move right
on the familiar beat
That can't betray
till the song ends
leaving yet another
Memory
To haunt again.
